RESEARCH - Photo-essay: Component Brief of Craft & Media Technologies One

8th November, Craft & Media Technologies One (Photography) with Mark.

The goal of this lesson was just run through the basic toolset available in photoshop. Here are the results after an hour of messing around.

     (Original)                      (Edited Version)
The tools used to create this were several image adjustments, such as; Contrast, Hue, Saturation and Brightness. Layer blending modes were used to give the building soft edges. Finally, a nebula stock placed to create 'light'.

(To the left, the edited image, above, the original) This image was a bit harder to produce, but still simple. Duplicating and transforming the original moped rider to create multiple 'players'. Using the blur and sharpen tool to distinguish depth between the riders. It was a suggestion from Matt and Nathaniel which made me add more to recreate the mario kart game with photos.

 (Photo Montage)

(Original Photos Used)
This last test was a warm up to to brief, of creating a photo montage. However this was made with photos taken by Mark. Using simple selection tools and the paintbrush (to give the overlayed images a slight glow) the composition was designed around the perspective of the original photos, and how they would fit technically into the final piece, rather then realisticly.
