· Different ways of contrasting and comparing:
1. First compare, then contrast.
2. First do one idea then another.
3. Write only about the comparable and contrastable elements .

Corset and foot bindings are similar. Both practiced in the far past, through the 19th century and into the 20th.
Both restrict women's movement and impair health.
Both practiced by women of all classes, though most people imagine tight lacing and foot binding were limited to the upper class..
To use Veblens argument, both enhance mans value in the culture to be responsible for women who were too delicate to work.
Both practised by women on women. Women laced corsets; women bound feet.

Corset and foot bindings are different too.
Chinese culture is radically different from that of west3ern Europe and America.
Every Chinese women so bound was deformed for life; only the most extreme cases of tight-lacing did permanent damage.
Corsets trivialized by everybody since the end of the dress reform movement.

“We watched Batman”
Followed by a quick rough comparison and contrast of the Batman and the Joker. Loads of over analysing of the portrayal of the characters. Does it represent our society today?

Find 2 things to compare as  a trial for our essay. Such as consoles, games etc.
